📖 What's Snapask

Snapask is a company that encourages self-learn and hoping student could ask more "why". We offers student and tutor 1-on-1 session, academy and online assessment, it's a all-in-one study hub where students can work on their weakness, ask question when they are stuck, watch video to clear concepts. Snapask is targeting students with high self-discipline, who are more williing to study by themselves.

😩 Problems

We have sent out a questionnaire to Snapask students to investigate the pain-points they would encounter when taking notes and maintaining those notes. We have concluded the most annoying pain-points:

57.1% Lost their notes over time

21.4% Scan, cut and paste or copy remarks to their own notebook

14.2% Mess up the layout when adding or removing notes

7.1% Lack of mobility

Design Challenge

How might we design a note-taking feature that allows students to keep their notes organised in one place, and would be comfortable and proud to share with classmates.

💁 Possible Outcome

Keep the notes organised by topics-subtopics
With the topic-subtopic categorisation system already in the app, students are able to create their notes under a subtopic, and quickly retrieve those notes by navigating the existing topic-subtopic system in the app. No more flipping through physical notes.

Notes as flashcards
We can make those notes into flashcards. It's efficient for a quick memory refresh, or as a last minute revision before exam during commute.

Share insights
Students are able to share their note with friends and classmate on-the-go.
